If you haven't noticed, we're suddenly and heavily into pollen season. You can see it in the ubiquitous yellow dusting of Lowcountry cars and driveways along with the beautiful explosion of springtime colors everywhere.
One of our friends at Charleston International Airport sent us this photo Wednesday of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner kicking up a cloud of pollen the size of a hangar on the nearby runway.
The weekend forecast for the region from www.pollen.com, operated by IMS Health Inc., shows a medium-high pollen count Friday and Sunday with a break Saturday — only a medium count. Pack some antihistamines.
