A division of a North Charleston-based aviation services company is expanding its national footprint by opening an office on the West Coast.
ExcelAire, which is part of Hawthorne Global Aviation Services, opened a location at Oakland International Airport in California, where it will provide a variety of private jet services, including aircraft management and charters, the company said in a news release.
“There is incredible demand for private jet charter service in the San Francisco Bay area, and to better serve our customers there and meet that demand, we opened this new office in Oakland,” Greg Brinkman, president of ExcelAire, said in the news release. “Now, we can provide our customers with access to our offices on both the East and West Coast, for their added convenience, while continuing to deliver unmatched levels of service to our aircraft owners and charter customers.”
On the East Coast, ExcelAire operates a facility of more than 200,000 square feet at MacArthur Airport on Long Island, N.Y. Along with global jet charters, ExcelAire provides aircraft management, maintenance and sales. Hawthorne acquired ExcelAire in 2013.
Hawthorne Global Aviation Services runs four fixed-base operators, in New York, Georgia, Chicago and Wisconsin. The general aviation services company was founded in 1932 and has been involved in many aspects of the aviation industry throughout its history. The company’s corporate offices are located in Faber Place in North Charleston.
